Hine - why?

Why am I here? Why am I writing a blog?
I don't even read blogs, its not a form of media I have ever really engaged with.
I am a pen and paper girlie (a journal never far from me). And even then I have only been journaling for just over 3 years!
I have always preferred my written thoughts and feelings to be private, to be for my eyes only. My own place where I could externally process and release what is in my head.
That doesn't mean I'm not a certified yapper/waha NUI, because I definitely am. No doubt about it. I can chat as much as anyone else, share my opinions, build arguments, and express my truth. However, this format is new to me, where I aim to be more articulate and thoughtful, presenting my ideas with greater clarity (sometimes lol).
It's somewhat ironic that I want to publish a blog. Sharing my genuine, unfiltered voice with strangers online?! That's a daunting idea! Yet, I've thoroughly enjoyed creating this website and blog. It has truly ignited something within me, sparking a creative passion. Plus, I have some fascinating stories to tell.
Welcome to Hinewairua - my blog, where I share my genuine and unfiltered voice. Here, you'll find my stories, opinions, and perspectives on a variety of topics. Please bear with me, as I am not a professional writer and I'm not using AI to perfect my words, images, or website. I'm navigating this journey with all its imperfections. I will include te reo māori throughout, unapologetically I will not translate the words to English as they carry far more depth.
By sharing, I am learning. By creating, I am opening.
Nau mai, welcome.
